Customers who use help buttons spend on average 16% more per transaction!
A large national hardware chain wanted to improve their customer service and provide quick assistance where merchandise is kept locked.
Smart Response® was installed in 120 of the national hardware chain stores with 25 help buttons per store. To measure the success of the trial, each receipt included the following survey question, “Did you use the help button?” All receipts with the answer ‘YES’ were compared with the receipts with ‘NO’.
The receipts with the YES answer had an average transaction value that was 16% higher than those who did not use the help button. The business was happy with the results and their ROI!
